Being decently active at maintaining and updating my blog at regular intervals (at least twice a month) to suddenly stopping adding new posts and then finally hanging up a maintenance page on it for almost a year and a half. It was not a random decision, definitely not an easy one.

So why do it ?

Well, to begin with I was looking for a upgrade for my blog. Not just a mere face lift, but a more engaging experience. I wanted it to be more than just a blog. A one place for all the stories, pictures, portfolios, galleries etc.

Secondly, being deputed to US from my current job, I had a whole new exciting world at my disposal, new things to explore, new places to visit, new people to meet, a new culture to understand, new stories to create…

All the time that I found after having done my office work, the cooking, cleaning the dishes, the laundry, the shopping for food and other essentials and many such daily chores, was mostly invested in finding out new places to explore, make plans for weekend drives and photo outings with friends.

Here in the US, you have machines for everything, I mean everything – things as simple as cutting eggs, roasting corns, peeling fruits etc. although you might choose not to use any as you also have ready to use items like peeled fruits, cleaned and diced veggies, frozen ‘A-Z’. Name anything and you can get a frozen version.

Unfortunately, you cannot get a ‘Bai’ (A housemaid) or at least even if you get (I am really not sure on this one)  its beyond our budget. So better learn to help yourself.

(Q: What is code Red ? A: Anything that refrains you from leading a regular, peaceful, routine life … something like a production issue or something like a client gone rouge over a minor code defect in UAT. For dummies, think of it as similar to waking up to a fine day, attending nature’s call and finding out that your tap has run dry 😉 )

So continuing with the change of routine part …

Apart from work, Travel and Photography took the front seat while blogging/documenting moved down the priorities. Finally, I have some time and a lot of will to do the needful and the long awaiting.

The last 2 years has been extremely eventful, both professionally and personally and its good to be able to put the things necessary together and get things started once again.

I hope you enjoy the words and photographs in the upcoming posts as much as I do putting them together.

Do not forget to leave your comments, it really matters and most importantly don’t forget to go out and explore.

As some wise man said

“Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and enjoy the journey”

Happy reading.
